East Coast Diesel came to us looking for a solution to take their existing ecommerce store and establish themselves as a quality supplier of diesel truck and performance parts. From branding to strategy, they needed a total package to take their business to the next level.

A core principle of our approach to e-commerce is data-based decision making. That is, we explore the traffic and commerce data of our clients’ sites to make informed, strategic decisions for future growth and then measure the impact of those decisions.

For East Coast Diesel, we identified an important trend based on the data we track for their site: an increasing proportion of their visitors were using mobile devices to not only browse their site, but make purchases. This prompted us to begin restructuring their site with a responsive design to create a smooth online shopping experience for customers using their phones and tablets to buy products.

We took a fast-moving product like the Power Hungry Performance Hydra Chip and wrote original content along with product photos and specifications on the product page and were able to boost it to the number one spot on Google, even beating out the product’s manufacturer.

Despite stiff keyword ranking competition for the South Bend Clutch brand, we were able to move East Coast Diesel’s site to the first page of Google results for many highly sought after South Bend Clutch product numbers. We did this the right way: through a well-tweaked site and unique, relevant content.

Creating original, unique, high-quality content for an e-commerce store is the best way to improve both user experience and search engine optimization. For East Coast Diesel, we helped to create this kind of content for both category landing pages and individual products. We took original product photographs, worked with their team and their manufacturers to write fresh, informative paragraphs, edited installation videos, and built specialty landing pages to help their customers find the right products for their performance diesel trucks.

Establishing a brand takes hard work, and we made sure East Coast Diesel’s look was consistent and recognizable across all media outlets.

From t-shirts to trifolds brochures and print ads in the world’s largest diesel truck magazine, Diesel Power, we established design elements, color schemes and graphics that represented them in the best possible way.
