FAQs

Q: What sort of investment should I be expecting to make when building a Magento site?
A: It depends on the number of products, the levels of complexity of functions, how much custom design/development work, etc. Contact Us to get this discussion started.
Q: Do you charge hourly or by project?
A: To keep things flexible and simple, we charge hourly (at $65/hr).
Q: Are there any retainer fees or contracts?
A: Nope! To learn more about how we work, check out our What We Do page.
Q: Do you do any content writing, photography, SEO work, or other odd ‘n ends like these that an e-commerce store requires?
A: Yes, we will strategize with you on a one-on-one basis to helps meet the needs that your growing store demands.
Q: Do you offer Magento backend training?
A: With every site we build, we want to make sure our clients have a good footing when getting started, so we include up to an hour of training on-site (if you’re local) or if you’re further away, we will send some training materials and/or setup a Skype meeting with you.
Q: I have a site already, but I’m looking for improvements. Do you have any site analysis tools?
A: Yes! We have developed several comprehensive site analysis tools that take an in-depth look into your SEO, UX, security, and many other settings and tweaks that are often overlooked when someone launches a Magento site.
Q: Do you guys offer hosting packages?
A: No, but we will be more than happy to make recommendations.
Q: What’s the difference: Magento CE (Community Edition) vs. Magento EE (Enterprise)? Why don’t you build Enterprise stores currently?
A: From the very beginning we have always been an organization focused on finding the best solutions for our clients so they get the most for their investment. Magento Enterprise licensing alone is very expensive (upwards of $18,000 per year, not including custom development) versus the Community Edition code being open source and much more cost effective to work with. Between extensions and servers tweaks, we’ve found that most of the time, we can “fill the gap” for less. To learn about specific differences between the 2 platforms, click here.
Q: Do you do anything else besides e-commerce?
A: We still enjoy building the occasional non-profit or small/medium sized business website, but it depends on our availability — reach out to us with your idea — we promise we don’t bite!
